SOCIAL MEDIA – A RELIGION OF ORGANISED CRIME

Mr. Madan Manikkam is the prime accused in a criminal offense of using abusive, derogatory and sexually violent language, amassing disproportionate wealth, distributing child pornography through a business of a YouTube Channel for PUBG (Player Unknown Battlegrounds Gaming) to an audience comprised of mainly young boys and girls, in Tamil Nadu. On reading up about this case, very many disturbing features of the Business of Social Media in India and facts are revealed.

After going through news reports in this case that came in almost every day, I began researching into this case and since this entire drama is on Social Media, the logical place to start the research is Social Media. On Youtube and Instagram, a number of videos reveal two narratives. One narrative is that, the criminal investigation was the result of an operation by one Jason Samuel, who posted a 3 hours long video on Youtube in the first week of June 2021, following which, the law authorities took cognizance of the matter and Madan fled Chennai city immediately. Now, these videos are very difficult to debunk and the evidence presented is in line with the Police Narrative of the case.

There is another narrative that one Joe Micheal was the first complainant in this case and a subsequent discussion on clubhouse between Jason Samuel and Joe Micheal has been revealed on YouTube.

Of the two narratives, Mr.Jason Samuel presents extensive evidence into the illegal activities of Madan and also exposes the nexus between Madan and Mr.Abishek Ravi and another Vijay from Coimbatore in operating illegal child pornography rackets. He claims to have collected this evidence himself and with the assistance of a “Team”. He does not elaborate on the composition of this Team.

Mr.Jason Samuel admits to have adopted methods of Social media Intelligence gathering as all information of Madan and others were available on Social Media. Further, he also undertook a False Flag or Sting Operation by using a 21 year old woman to obtain evidence on the Sexual Abuse angle of the case. interestingly, neither narratives mention the wife of Madan being involved. Both narratives are strong attacks only against Madan alone. Law enforcement uncovers, the alleged involvement of Madan's wife in the case as another perpetrator.

I do not seek to defend Madan here, certainly, he must face the law for his actions.

But, Is Madan The Only Person to Face the Law? Is Madan facing an Impartial Law?

All the above facts are still available on YouTube. One can cross-check this by watching the videos.

The disturbing issue that arises is that, the narrative so far clearly points out that Madan and his wife were not acting alone.

If one examines the entire Narrative including both mainstream news,media and YouTube sources so far, one can understand that the activities of Madan and his wife were:

a. Generating revenue from public through PUBG Livestreaming walkthroughs and being social media influencers.

b. Identifying targets in Social Media and lay down distribution channels of child pornographic material.

b. Investing the profits generated from (a) into illegal activities such as extortion from minors, other influencers, collection and distribution of Child Pornography.

c. Investing the profits from the illegal activities into Bitcoin in countries outside India where Bitcoin transactions are legal. This multiplies the profits generated without Legal or Taxation requirements. Bitcoin transactions are illegal in India and banned.

d. Laundering the profits generated out of investments in Bitcoin in generating wealth in India and for logistical requirements of their operations.

It is not officially known whether tax evasion was committed but it is quite obvious I believe.

The above operations have to be very organised and systematic for it involves handling of complex technological and economic systems and coordination between multiple humans and entities. It is logistically not possible for one or two persons to have done all this, no matter how resourceful.

Mr.Jason Samuel indicates that there was some coordination among multiple persons on Social Media for a considerable period of time. They were all social media influencers. Mr.Joe Micheal also says that he was an associate of the same group and coordinated with them.

One of these influencers was Mr.Abishek Ravi. Mr.Abishek Ravi is named as the de facto complainant in the case against Madan in public news report.

Under what authority did Mr.Jason Samuel undertake this "investigation"? All the group of persons here have admitted to be having some sort of relationship as a group. However, both the complainants have denied having any knowledge about Madan's real activities and what they have actually set down in official legal records is unknown. However, they create the doubt that, others may be or may not be involved and keep their distance when questions revolve around other associates. All these persons are clearly saving a larger operation and the fact that there is coordination between them. They want to save Social Media along with them.

This is a perfect example of an Organised Crime Network for which Social Media proves to be a very fertile ground.

There is much hue and cry that, the offences committed by Madan was with full knowledge and quite grave. But, under the current of emotion, the message that is being sent out is very clear – Social Media is considered as Sacred Ground and a Safe Haven, Madan has violated it.

Perhaps if Madan had not been abusive on his Live Videos and Social Media Posts, he would not have rubbed some people in the wrong way and this Mafia Family would not have come to light.

However, the question here is, what is the real motive behind Madan being singled out? It is highly probable there are other players who have cooperated with a bigger operation. Madan seems to be only a part of this bigger operation but is put in front for motives that are not yet uncovered.

The undeniable fact in this case is, all these people used Social Media as the primary platform for their activities and also to “settle disputes”. Social Media is soft power. At some point, an unknown entity pushed Hard Power into the Mix.

The identity of the person who brought in the cavalry is not yet known clearly. Is it Joe Micheal or Jason Samuel or Abhishek Ravi or someone else?? What cannot be completely ruled out is that, Madan and his Wife could have been singled out to settle unknown scores and to show who is the boss and who calls the shots. Since, too much of limelight would throw a spanner into the entire organised criminal network, there are subtle contradictions and detractions being made by those who blew the whistle. Interestingly, the Bitcoin investment angle has been uncovered only the Law enforcement authorities, neither Jason Samuel nor Joe Micheal speak about it in detail. They even evade the said topic in many videos.

Social Media is now a Religion.

Social Media is a Religion that gives a false promise of working to empower free speech. The Gods of this Religion are the CEOs, Shareholders of Silicon Valley, their thrones are the Companies they represent. They are False Gods. The fact is that, Social Media itself is an Organised Crime. A War Against Humanity itself.

We, the ordinary humans, do not understand that, this Religion is built not for the benefit of the humans, but for sole the benefit of these Gods. Therefore, we try our best to save the Religion.

In all the opinion pieces that is out there on Madan's case, there is not a single opinion even casts a doubt onto the Social Media’s role in the case. There is also no opinion that, when Madan's activities were exposed, it pointed out to a larger phenomenon - Social Media Organised Crime.

Social Media depends not on humans or governments or societies. It depends only on manipulating Human Emotions to generate value for the investors and shareholders. Social Media manipulates individual Human emotions and emotions of entire countries, political systems and Governance.

Many Researchers have determined that, Social Media creates a generation of humans who believe that manipulation of emotions is the only way to have a place in the world.

Much of today’s addictive behaviour, violence and abuse is a direct consequence of Social Media. Politicians, Celebrities, Influencers can say one thing on Social Media but do the complete opposite in reality. Humans have no idea of the truth. The Truth is what is trending.

The PUBG Madan case is a stark example to the scale to which such addiction, violence and abuse can reach to that of Organised Crime. Social Media makes Organised Crime much easier as it manipulates emotions to violent levels. PUBG – the game that Madan was so popular for, was banned in India not just for national security reasons but also for the fact that it causes mental health damage in young and adult humans alike. However, a special version of PUBG called Battlegrounds India is permitted to be launched. It is said that, National Security reason has been addressed. What about the Mental Health reason? Is that not equally important? There is no evidence that Mental Health concerns have been addressed in the new game!

It shows that no Lessons have been learnt.

It is time that we take a very serious look at the Business Model of Social Media which is an organised systematic crime against Humanity. Social Media in turns provides the platform for Organised Crime. Dawood Ibrahim started as a police informer and used the police against his opponents in his early years. Later, he became the undisputed lord of the criminal underworld. Dawood though intelligent was nothing more than a tramp in his days of rise and relied on criminal networks. Dawood did not create the underworld, he made use of human emotions unleashed by the Business of Bombay.

The Criminal Underworld was created by the Business Model of Post-Independence Bombay.

Dawood is the Prodigal Messiah of the Criminal Underworld. He seemed then and seems to this day, Invincible. He is God and his religion is Crime. Nobody saw it until it was too late. The havoc of crime, terrorism and extortion that Dawood continues to wreak echoes across continents and generations.

Imagine what a technologically educated version of Dawood Ibrahim could unleash. We have not yet solved the problem of Pre-Digital Era Dawood Version yet.

Another symptom of the impending danger is the frequent criminal offences registered against persons who use Machetes for birthday cake-cutting. The highlight is that, cases are registered only if videos of the machete cake-cutting go “viral”. The perception here is that, the Machete is not the problem, nor is the youth cutting the cake for Both the Machete and the Youth are taken for granted.

The Machete Cutting the Cake On Social Media is the problem because Social Media is Sacred Ground.

This analogy may not be convincing for readers who consider Machetes as Barbaric and Twitter as Freedom. We can see the harm caused by Machetes but we haven't found a lasting solution yet. We are blind to the harm caused by Social Media Religion, then how will we find a solution?

The Governance in India is adopting Social Media as a "magic tool" of governance and also acknowledging Social Media as Sacred Ground. But Our Intellectual and Elected Officials seems to be ignorant to the nature of the Business Model of Social Media. They are also ignorant that, this Sacred Ground was not created by Indians for Indians, but by Silicon Valley to rule all of Humanity.

It would be very wise to adopt only the Technology of Social Media and develop an ethical business model that is not influenced by silicon valley. Merely because a Social Media Enterprise pays taxes and “promises” to follow regulations in the real world does not mean that their business is ethical. There is every chance of direct, uncontrolled defiance. Twitter is proving this in point now.

I hope we come to our senses about The Business of Social Media being a Religion of Organised Crime at the earliest before it is too late. True that, good has indeed come out of Social Media such as access to educative information or emergency action, but the good is only an un-intended side effect. The real purpose is only revenue through manipulation of Human Emotions. The destructive behaviour eclipses everything on Social Media.

As far as Madan's case is concerned, I believe many developments will emerge, but whether all facts will be a part of the final criminal charge against Madan and is wife is still moot.
