Is Fight Training a Fitness Program?
Yes. Fight training such as Boxing is a full body and mind workout. Fight Training enables one to stay sharp and use the entire body as an engine of energy. In a fight, the whole body is a weapon. In Training, one has to consciously focus on increasing the lung stamina, heart stamina. The resulting quick reflexes puts the proper use of the nervous system. This enables the body to build resistance against lifestyle issues such as Stress, Hypertension. Fighting Fitness is also proved to reduce possibility of brain related ailments like Alzheimer or Parkinson's disease. In daily life, this enables one to be muscularly fit and at the same time, trains the brain to think better and act faster with total mental awareness. This is a lifelong process and there is always something to work on and improve. It makes life interesting and enjoyable.
Fight Training such as Boxing, Kickboxing is absolutely the best choice if you are a working class person. Working Class today wire their bodies to use only minor muscle groups to work while neglecting the major muscle groups. It causes an imbalance in muscle memory and strength. Human Strength comes from the major muscle groups. The minor groups are just precision tools. They rely on the the major muscle groups for strength. They can easily break or bend under overwork.. The Human Bone Density depends upon the muscle memory of the major muscle groups. To Illustrate, A desk worker has the risk of Spondylitis or carpal tunnel ( neck and wrists) A litigation lawyer has the risk of developing hernia, arthritis, Achilles' heel in the legs (hip flexors, knees, ligaments in the foot). Fight training rewires the muscle memory and strength from the minor muscle groups to the major muscle groups. This will ensure that, minor muscles get the needed strength support from the major groups.
Is Fight Training Affordable For The Working Class?
Fight Training is the most affordable style of fitness training. It is exceptionally cheap. The minimum requirements for fight training is a pair of good shoes, a terrace or a portico, a bottle of water and time. If you can afford a bit more cash, resistance bands, hand wraps will be of immense assistance. Anything more than that depends upon your interest.
Is Fight Training Dangerous?
If you are intending to use Fight Training to Fight, then yes, it is dangerous. One cannot play boxing or kickboxing. However, if you intend to use Fight Training to burn fat, build muscle and endurance, then there is no danger at all. The maximum injuries that I have personally faced is mild muscle sprains and aches. However, if one does get into a situation in life where you need to fight to save your life or in case of a woman, you womanhood, fight training definitely boosts your survival chances.
Do you need a Trainer or Partner for Training?
If you are looking for a fight or competitive fighting, then yes, a trainer and a partner will be indispensable. But, if you are looking at just being fit, strong and reduce fatigue in your working life, then there is no need to go look for a trainer or partner, whether online or offline. From what I have learnt so far, the regimen and schedule recommended by most trainers is suitable only for those who want to make fitness a career (fight or bodybuilding competitions) or Tabloid Model. Abs are good for photos and physical attraction but not good for today's working class health. You need quite a bit of water and fat in your body to safely work at your office or sweat out at court - every - single -day for hours. A tabloid model with six pack abs will faint within a few days. With Fight Training, your body is instructed to be ready of stressful situations. So the Photogenic Six Packs is just a side-effect, not the main product. Get a trainer or partner only if you can afford it. They do not come for free. But, not everyone can train on their own, so in the end it is an individual decision.
What To Know before Self-Training?
Self-Training involves study of the theoretical knowledge and putting them to practical use by training the techniques. It enables us to train at our own pace. It forces us to be honest with our-self. If I am not honest with myself, I will not get the benefits or worse injure myself. So, Getting into the mindset is very important. Being Honest with oneself is a very powerful motivator. If we are honest with ourselves We do not need any external motivational factors. It is possible but not easy. It involves a good lot of patience, clarity and introspection. It is never easy.
There are many resources and books that will teach you to train by yourself.
A training studio called Gloveworx has some good articles on techniques, exercises and Fighting Mindset on their blog GWX Blog

Many Books have been written on Boxing and Fight Training. Boxing Fitness By Ian Oliver is one of my personal favorites. It lists down all the basic techniques, strength and endurance exercises with necessary explanation to understand the significance of each component. It is a good book to start with.
